| 3 | $2,070 | $5,722 |
| 4 | $2,258 | $7,980 |
| 5 | $2,467 | $10,446 |
| 10 | $3,961 | $26,912 |
| 15 | $6,765 | $54,388 |
| 20 | $12,486 | $103,663 |
How it works
Year one's income is the amount invested times the dividend yield. After that the dividend per share grows at the rate you set, and, if you reinvest, each year's dividends buy more shares that pay dividends too.
What to watch
A high yield is only worth something if it lasts. Check the payout ratio and whether free cash flow covers the dividend: every company's financials page shows dividends paid against free cash flow for ten years. The highest-yield list shows both.
