Joining
- Anyone with an Investingly account can apply. A person reviews every application, and we may decline any application without giving a reason.
- You must live in a country where Stripe can pay you: Canada, the United States, the United Kingdom, a country in the EU/EEA, or Switzerland.
- You're an independent affiliate, not an employee, agent or partner of Stone Mountain Research. You can't make promises or offers on our behalf.
Commission
The first 50 approved affiliates are founding affiliates and earn 50%. Affiliates approved after that earn 30%. The rate you have when you're approved is locked in for as long as you stay in the program.
- You earn your rate on every subscription payment made by a customer you referred, for as long as they stay subscribed and you remain an affiliate in good standing.
- Commission is calculated on the amount actually paid, excluding sales tax, VAT and GST. Free trial periods earn nothing.
- If a payment is refunded or disputed, its commission is reversed. If it was already paid to you, the amount is deducted from your next payout.
- Commissions are held for 30 days after each payment before they become payable.
Tracking
- Your link sets a 60-day cookie. A customer is credited to you if they create their account within that window. If they click another affiliate's link afterwards, the most recent click wins.
- People who sign up through your link get a 14-day free trial instead of the standard 7 days.
- Once an account is credited to you, it stays credited to you. Existing customers can't be re-credited.
- Our records decide who referred a customer. If you think a referral is missing, contact support.
Payouts
- Payouts are made through Stripe Connect. To receive them, you connect a Stripe account and complete Stripe's identity checks. Stripe's own terms apply to that account.
- We send payouts about once a month, when your payable balance is at least $50. Smaller balances roll over to the next month.
- Payouts are in the currency our Stripe balance received the payment in (usually US or Canadian dollars). Stripe may convert it to your local currency and charge its own fees.
- You're responsible for reporting and paying any tax on your earnings. We don't withhold tax or issue tax forms.
How to promote
Please do:
- clearly say it's an affiliate or referral link wherever you share it (for example "I earn a commission if you subscribe"). This is required by advertising rules such as those of the US FTC and Canada's Competition Bureau;
- describe Investingly accurately, including that it's research software and not investment advice.
Please don't:
- sign yourself up, or anyone in your household, through your own link;
- bid on "Investingly" or close variations of it in search or social ads, or use them in domain names or account handles;
- list your link on coupon, deal, cashback or incentive sites, or pay people to sign up;
- send spam, use misleading claims about returns or performance, or pretend to be Investingly;
- use our logo in a way that suggests you speak for us.
Suspension & ending
- We may suspend or remove an affiliate who breaks these terms. Commissions from referrals that broke the rules (for example self-referrals) aren't paid.
- You can leave at any time by contacting support. Payable commissions you've already earned are still paid out, as long as they meet the minimum.
- We may change or end the program with 30 days' notice by email. Changes don't lower the rate on commissions you've already earned.
